Chat with The Today Show Parenting Team
Matt Lauer. Al Roker. Hoda Kotb. Kathie Lee Gifford. The Today Show has names that are easily recognizable, but did you know that they have a parenting team? I sat down for a chat with the Today Show parenting team to talk about how parenthood changes your social life. It’s true that things change drastically when you become a parent, and your social life is no exception. Most of the time we talk about how difficult and hard things become, but don’t underestimate the positives, as I tell you in the video. Check out the one minute clip below and let me know what you think.

I agree, I do believe that parents need to socialize with other parents. This give a great support group and you will have people to understand what you going through and maybe willing to help you.
I agree. Thanks for watching!
I understand that for many their social life has positives once they become a parent but I have never really found that to have affected mine positively. Yes, I “know” a whole lot of people but deeper relationships have not formed instead they have been negatively affected. I often find it hard for me to relate because I have old-fashion values for parenting compared to others today and it doesn’t easily mesh.
It’s hard at first, but worth it. You aren’t the only one out there with old fashioned values, trust me! We are as well. Sometimes all it takes is one person opening up and sharing a personal story to break through the barriers. Good luck!
No, I didn’t know that The Today Show had a parenting team. That’s very interesting, as I have two teens and a preschooler. I will have to check it out.
Definitely go sign up!
No idea about the parenting team!! I have kids of all ages this perfect for someone like me
You’ll love it!
What a fun concept to have a parenting team. Love opening this discussion. I will say this – I am not a play date mom because I would rather hang out with moms that are my friends over the moms at my kids school. i feel like those school moms think I am being stuck up because i dont go with them on the play dates.
If the moms think you’re stuck up, it doesn’t sound like they’d be very welcoming even if you scheduled something with them…
I had no idea about this parenting team either! It’s a fantastic idea and a great way to get parents to come together and share personal experiences.
Yes, that’s exactly what it is. I love it, and their staff is incredible.
So true that parents need to socialize with other parents! That’s the only way I’ve been able to survive haha!:)
#truth!
Honestly, I had no idea about the parenting team but it really sounds great and perfect for the dad like me
Go sign up! Or at least browse, they’re really great.
I didn’t realize that The Today Show had a parenting team. Very good to know! I would be lost on this motherhood journey if it weren’t for my friends! They keep me sane and in check on those crazy days.
I didn’t know they had a parenting team, that is really cool. My son went to preschool last year and the moms seemed like they were really close with each other and I felt really out of the loop because I was the youngest mom there at 23. So I didn’t feel very welcome. But I think it’s important to learn from other moms so I have to work on being more involved in his school with them.
